Two powerful phrases we can see from Genesis 1 are “And God said” and “God saw that it was (very) good.”
While the phrase “God saw that it was (very) good” appeared in verses 4, 10, 12, 18, 21, 25, 31.
When God created the heavens and the earth, He made everything by His word. What God said, it came to pass. Repeatedly, the phrase, and it was so appeared in the first chapter of Genesis.
The “And God said” phrase revealed one thing – God’s word is powerful and reliable. When He says something, it will come to pass.
What He tells us through the Bible today (when we spend our devotional time with Him), is not something He said flippantly, but it’s something He will fulfill.
Psalm 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does….6, By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
These two verses reveal God’s faithfulness. And that His word is never too late.
That in truth, as we trust in Him, we can be assured of His love and be secured of His presence.
