In an age where celebrities and famous athletes flaunt their “sexcapades” and other outlandish behaviors in public, it is interesting to see another celebrity in new Los Angeles Lakers guard Jeremy Lin make a “public confession” on the ongoing personal battle he faces as a professional basketball player.
Lin, one of the rare Asian-American player to make it all the way to the NBA, admits how his current status as a basketball player tends to get into his head sometimes.
He identifies his “personal opponent” as pride, something he explained requires more than just his will power to overcome.
Since being shipped to the Lakers recently after spending a so-so year with the Houston Rockets last season, Lin will again be tested soon under the bright lights of Hollywood, where LA and Kobe Bryant are coming off one of the franchise’s worst seasons in team history.
