As I put Niquee to sleep after letting him suck his milk, I started praying and declaring His goodness, remembering His faithful work over the course of my life as a Christian.
To be honest, the situation I dreaded the most is when I see one of my kids admitted in the hospital. Well, the idea of seeing my son or daughter go through the painful process of goinginjection, dextrose, etc. – these are the things I don’t like my children to go through.
Yet, I can only hold my breath for a while as the nurse at the emergency room stuck the needle to Niquee’s gentle, smooth vein. I wonder why Niquee went through this kind of a situation.
I don’t have the answers right now, but, one thing God reminded me…that in difficult moments, He is firmly in control.
I’m reminded of Hebrews 12:1-3 as I was praying as it says there: Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him, endured the cross, scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
My mind was caught by the phrase sat down at the right hand throne of God.
Jesus sat down at His throne. A Eureka moment for me! For I was reminded that even through the difficulties of life, Jesus is in control.
He is still at His throne, ruling and reigning. Your situation today may seem out of hand, but take heart, for Christ is in full control.
All we have to do is let Him reign over our situation. Christ is unchangeable for the book of Hebrews 13:8 says, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Christ is unshakeable. And Christ is unstoppable. No circumstance can hinder Christ from executing His grand plan for our lives.
