Danny Ildefonso And His Favorite Expression

Despite the numerous basketball successes Danny Ildefonso has had dating back to his amateur days, the newly-acquired Meralco forward remains humble, pointing every blessing he’s had in his distinguished PBA career back to God.

Ildefonso managed to turn back the hands of time during his first game in the PBA this season on Saturday (January 4, 2014), logging in 14 points, grabbing five six rebounds and dishing off five assists in 29 minutes of action.

1579787_10151821793632019_1180334867_nFor the former two-time league MVP, more than the stats he provided, the game was a testament to God’s faithfulness to him after the way his career ended with Petron.

The 37-year-old Ildefonso did enjoy the game, especially after helping his team beat Air21, 92-88.

While playing time is no longer an issue for him, all he wanted was to inspire his two boys Shaun Danielle and Sean David.

In the end, whatever happens to his new-found career with Meralco, Ildefonso only has one favorite expression, “God is good!”
